Minutes of the Board of Directors
Special Meeting held August 21, 1995
Call to Order: The Board of Directors of the Costa Mesa Sanitary District
met in Special Session on August 21, 1995, 2:00 p.m., at
the Costa Mesa Civic Center, 77 Fair Drive, Costa Mesa,
California.
Director Ferryman called the meeting to order at 2:00 p.m.
Director Perry led the Pledge of Allegiance.
Director Reade gave the Invocation.
Roll Call: Directors Present: James.Ferryman, Arthur Perry, Nate Reade, Arlene Schafer,
Dan Worthington.
Staff Present: Robin Hamers, Manager/Engineer; Alan Burns, General
Counsel; Florin Reichle, Assistant Manager /Clerk of the
District; Marc Davis, Assistant Finance Director; and Dawn
Guastella, Permit Specialist.
Others Present: None.
A special meeting was called to discuss and possibly endorse the new bankruptcy recovery plan
as presented by the Orange County Investment Pool (OCIP) Committee at a meeting held earlier
in the day at the City of Irvine attended by Directors Ferryman and Schafer, and Manager
Harriers.
At the earlier meeting, the plan was being negotiated between the OCIP Committee and County
representatives in one room while the attending elected officials and managers met in another
room. Although the Committee represented there was in agreement with the County in concept,
certain considerations were yet unresolved. No written term sheets were available outlining the
components of the plan.
After discussing the uncertainties of the proposed plan, motion was made by Director Reade,
seconded by Director Perry and carried unanimously, to take no action at this time.
President Ferryman adjourned the meeting at 2:28 p.m.
