manhole frame and cover shalt be Alhambra foundry A -/270 or
approved equal.
4. Clay pipe joint compound shall be "CPI Z ", "✓C -60". Mechanical
compression joints shall be "WEDGE - LOCK ", "SPEED -SEAL
MAINLINE " or approved equal. In no case will jointing material
using neat Port /and Cement, mortar or grout be permitted.
5. Contractor shall obtain a permit from the City of Costa Mesa
Street Deportment prior to starting work. Request for inspect-
ion by the City Engineer shall be made 48 hours In advance of
performing any work. re/ephone: (7/4) 556 -5323.
6. Contractor shall be responsible for maintaining warning devices,
lights, and flagmen in accordance with "Manual of warning signs, c l r Y OF
lights, and devices for use in performance of work upon Highways"
issued by the State of California, Dept. of Public Works, 1971.
