Hall, Costa Mesa, California. November 6th,1947.

On motion by Norman, seconded by Lord,ordered paid.
President TeWinkle reported on meeting at Santa Ana of
various interests including Farm Bureau for the purpose of
discussing Board of Engineers Report. Certain written protests
of certain points of Findings were presented and dates of
further meetings including one at Anaheim Thursday and that
of Supervisors Friday, November 7th, announced That Supervisor
Warner stated that the Board of Supervisors had set date of
hearings starting December 1st, including that of Costa Mesa
Sanitary District December 4th or 5th.
Secretary Owen reported on attendance luncheon meeting at
Santa Ana at which proposal of annexation by City of Santa Ana of
Santa Ana Army Air Base and connecting strip was discussed and
interest of this District in such movement explained as same
affected availability of existing sewer line facilities for
potential use by this section, and heavily populated contiguous
territory.
Reference to individual needs of various cities and
districts for new or extended sewer disposal facilities was made
and discussed and a policy of watchfulness and continued contact
with developments expresse4.
Additions to present District limits and plans for encouraging
same discussed.
After suggestions and discussion of matter of garbage and
trash collecting service and contract with Collector it was
decided to handle this matter as heretofore through the Board
direct with Collector of their own choosing and contract.
