Minutes - Board - 1946-12-05Minutes of regular meeting Board of Directors of Costa Mesa Sanitary District held at Community Hall, Costa Mesa, California, December 5th, 1946. Present: Directors TeWinkle, Nelson, Dodd, Lord and Norman, Attorney Anderson, Secretary Owen,,Engineers Bulot & Dondro, Collector Wallace. Meeting called to order by President TeWinkle 7:30 p.m. Minutes previous meeting read and approved. Bills as follows on motion by Nelson, seconded by Dodd,.ordered paid: Directors, TeWinkle, Nelson,Dodd,Lord and Norman $15.00 each ,Directorl s'-)fees one meeting each month October, November and December 1946. Secretary Owen 690.00 same U5riod and meetings. Collector Wallace $350.00 less 0.00 retention, net $300.00. Geo.Coe refund taxes 1st half $4.40. Lola F.Anderson,stenographic service to Dec.5th,1946, 16.85, Leroy P.Anderson,Attorney fees to Dec.5th,1946 1175.00. Upon discussion contract covering collection service, extent of same, etc. it was agreed that President TeWinkle should confer with applicants including presdnt Collector.and report to Board his recommendations. Engineers, Bulot & Dondro then presented a map of the District together with list of subjects pertinent to planning which were discussed and filed. Secretary was instructed to contact Board of Supervisors and reopen by correspondence if necessary application for participation in distribution of State funds allotted Orange County for planning purposes. Engineer Bulot and Secretary were requested to investigate through War Assets or other proper Government Agency as to availabi- lity and possible acquis$ -8n of existing Sewer lines pertinent to Santa Ana Army Air Base. Directors TeWinkle and Lord, Secretary Owen and Engineer Bulot and Dondro, reported having attended Associated Chambers of Commerce Sanitary Committee dinner meeting at Anaheim, November 29th, and heard progress report and comments of Engineers Hyde and Rawn on plans for County Sewer disposal system. It was agreed that proper publicity of the planning work now being undertaken and prospective expansion of the present District should be arranged for with Costa Mesa Globe - Herald.
