December 8, 1983
Call `_to Order The meeting was called to order by President
Wahner at 7:30 p.m.

MINUTES: On motion by Director Green, seconded by Director
• November 10, 1983 Crank and unanimously carried, the minutes of
the regular meeting on November 10, 1983, were
approved as distributed and posted.
AWARD OF CONTRACT Mr. Hamers reported tht bids were opened on
Adams Avenue November 14, 1983,, for the construction of Adams
Pumping Station Avenue Pumping Station: He..recommended the con-
tract be awarded-to the lowest bidder, Floyd and
Kordick, J.V., Post Office Box 1857, Redlands,
California 92373.
MOTION On motion by Director Crank, seconded by Director
Hutchison, the contract was awarded to Floyd and
Kordick, J.V., in the amount of $69,933. Motion
carried by the following roll call vote:
AYES: DIRECTORS: Wahner, Crank, Hutchison,
Hanson, Green
NOES: DIRECTORS: None
ABSENT: DIRECTORS: None
PUBLIC HEARING President Wahner informed the Board that this was
Detachment 83 -01 the time and place fixed, pursuant to the notice
given, for the hearing of protests and objections
to the proposed detachment of territory described
in Exhibit "A ", being a legal description and
plat map, and designated as Detachment 83 -01.
NOTICE PUBLICATION - Ms. Reichle informed the Board that the Notice
WRITTEN PROTESTS of Public Hearing had been published twice, •
November 9 and 14, 1983, as required by law, and
the affidavit of publication is on file in the
District office. She also stated no written
protests had been received..
HEARING CLOSED There being no protests, President Wahner ordered
the Public Hearing closed.
RESOLUTION Director Crank made a motion, seconded by Director
NO. 83 -403 Hutchison, that Resolution No. 83 -403, being a
RESOLUTION OF THE COSTA MESA SANITARY DISTRICT
OF ORANGE COUNTY, CALIFORNIA, DECLARING CERTAIN
TERRITORY DESIGNATED AS "DETACHMENT NO. 83 -1"
DETACHED FROM THE DISTRICT; FINDING THE DETACHMENT
EXEMPT FROM A CONFIRMING ELECTION; EXEMPTING SAID
TERRITORY FROM LIQUID AND SOLID WASTE DISPOSAL
CHARGES OF THE DISTRICT; AND GIVING REASON THEREFOR,
be adopted. Motion carried by the following roll
call vote:
MOTION AYES: DIRECTORS: Wahner, Crank, Hutchison,
Hanson, Green
NOES: DIRECTORS: None
ABSENT: DIRECTORS: None
ADJOURNMENT: President Wahner declared the meeting adjourned
at 7:45 p.m., to Thursday, December 15, 1983, at
7:30 p.m., in the First Floor Conference Room,
Costa Mesa Civic Center.
