MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL MEETING
BOARD OF DIRECTORS
COSTA MESA SANITARY DISTRICT
July 22, 1982
The meeting was called to order by President
Wahner at 7 p.m.
Roll Call
Present: Directors - Wahner, Crank,
Hanson, Green.
Absent: Directors - Hutchison.
Officials Present: Bruce Mattern, Manager

Revision of

was.created by recent County Supervisors' action
to initiate dump gate fees effective October 12,
1982. The proposed 1982 -83 trash rate was
adopted July 8, 1982 and was to be $57.00 per

year, an increase of $1.00 over last year. With
the imposed gate fees, Mr. Oman recommended that
the rate be raised by $9.00 to $66.00 per year
per residential unit.
MOTION
Director Hanson made a motion, seconded by
Director Green to adopt the 1982 -83 trash rate
of $66.00 per year and directed Mr. Mattern to
send press releases to the four local newspapers.
Motion was carried by the following roll call vote:
AYES: Directors - Wahner, Crank, Hanson, Green.
NOES: Directors - None
ABSENT: Directors - Hutchison.
CMSD Joins With Director Hanson made a motion, seconded by
OCSD to Seek Legal Director Crank to direct Mr. June, Legal Counsel
Relief from Dump for CMSD, to contact Tom Woodruff, Legal Counsel
Gate Fees for all Orange County Sanitation Districts, to
offer assistance on behalf of the CMSD regarding
possible legal action against the County of Orange
for assessment 'of gate fees. Motion was carried
by the following roll call vote:

ABSENT: Directors - Hutchison.
Adjournment President Wahner declared the meeting adjourned
at 7:14 p.m.
