MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL MEETING
BOARD OF DIRECTORS
COSTA MESA SANITARY DISTRICT
August 20, 1981
Call to Order A special meeting of the Board of Directors
was called to order by President Wahner at
7:30 p.m. for the purpose of levying a tax to
pay the principal and interest on bonds issued
by the District and adopting the final 1981 -82
Fiscal Year Budget.
Roll Call Present: Directors - Wahner, Crank.,
Hanson, Green
Absent:
Directors - Hutchison

Minutes Director Hanson made a motion, seconded by
Correction of Director Green, to amend the minutes of July 9,
40 July 9, 1981 1981, as follows:
- "Director Hanson made a motion, seconded by
Director Crank, to authorize the President
and Secretary to sign Report No. 80 -23,
instructing the County Auditor to draw a
warrant from the Costa Mesa Sanitary District
General Fund in the amount of $115,001.06.
Motion was carried by the following roll call
vote:
AYES: DIRECTORS: Wahner, Crank, Hutchison,
Hanson,
NOES: DIRECTORS: None
ABSENT: DIRECTORS: Green
Director Hanson made a motion, seconded by
Director Crank to authorize the President and
Secretary to sign Report No. 80 -24, instruct-
ing the County Auditor to draw a warrant from
the No. 7 Trunk Sewer Fund in the amount of
$381.11. Motion was carried by the following
roll call vote:

Resolution Director Hanson made a motion, seconded by
No. 81 -366 Director Green, that Resolution No. 81 -366, being
Levying a Tax A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE
COSTA MESA SANITARY DISTRICT OF ORANGE COUNTY,
CALIFORNIA, LEVYING A TAX TO PAY THE PRINCIPAL
AND INTEREST ON BONDS ISSUED BY THE DISTRICT, be
adopted.
MOTION Motion was carried by the following roll call
vote:
AYES: DIRECTORS: Wahner, Crank, Hanson,
Green
NOES: DIRECTORS: None
ABSENT: DIRECTORS: Hutchison
Budget Fiscal Finance Director Oman presented the Costa Mesa
Year 1981 -82 Sanitary District Budget for Fiscal Year.1981 -82.
After discussion, the budget was approved as
submitted as follows: •
General Fund Director Green made a motion that the Costa Mesa
Sanitary District Budget General Fund #5391 for
the Fiscal Year 1981 -82 in the amount of
$2,133,500, be approved. Motion was seconded by
Director Hanson and carried by the following
roll call vote:
AYES: DIRECTORS: Wahner, Crank, Hanson,
Green
NOES: DIRECTORS: None
ABSENT: DIRECTORS: Hutchison
Sewer Director Hanson made a motion that the Costa
Construction Fund Mesa Sanitary District Budget Sewer Construction
Fund #5411 for the Fiscal Year. 1981 -82 in the
amount of $34,050, be approved. Motion was
seconded by Director Green and carried by the
following roll call vote:
AYES: DIRECTORS: Wahner, Crank, Hanson,

NOES: DIRECTORS: None
ABSENT: DIRECTORS: Hutchison

No. 7 Trunk Director Hanson made a-motion that the Costa
Sewer Fund Mesa Sanitary District Budget No. 7 Trunk Sewer
Fund #5441 for the Fiscal Year 1981 -82 in the
amount of $177,717, be approved. Motion was
seconded by Director Green, and carried by the
following roll call vote:
AYES: DIRECTORS: Wahner, Crank, Hanson,
Green
NOES: DIRECTORS: None
ABSENT: DIRECTORS:. Hutchison
Facilities Director Hanson made a motion that the Costa
Revolving Fund Mesa Sanitary District Budget Facilities
Revolving Fund #5451 for the Fiscal Year 1981 -82
in the amount of $1,968,894, be approved.
Motion was seconded by Director Green, and.
carried by the following roll call vote:

Resolution Director Hanson made a motion, seconded by
No. 81 -365 Director Crank, that Resolution NO. 81 -365 being
Transfer of Funds A RESOLUTION OF THE COSTA MESA SANITARY DISTRICT
OF ORANGE COUNTY, CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZING THE
TRANSFER OF $221,420 FROM THE FACILITIES REVOLV-
ING FUND TO THE GENERAL FUND OF THE DISTRICT, be
adopted.
MOTION Motion was carried by the following roll call
vote:

1980 -81 By way of information, Finance Director Oman
City /District disclosed to the Board .that there was a surplus
Contract Surplus of $15,704.33 in the City Contract account. He
Funds indicated that the surplus funds will be credited
to the District on a subsequent billing.
Adjournment President Wahner declared the meeting adjourned
at 8:04 p.m.
