BOARD OF DIRECTORS
COSTA MESA SANITARY DISTRICT
August 7, 1980
Call to Order The meeting was called to order at 7:30 p.m.
by Vice President Crank.
Roll Call Present: Directors — Crank, Wahner,
Hanson
Absent: Hutchison, Glockner
Officials Present: Manager Mattern, Director
of Finance Oman, Engineer
Stevens, Assistant Secretary
Reichle.
Public Hearing Vice President Crank informed the Board that
Assessments - this was the time and place fixed, pursuant
1980 -81 to the notice given for the hearing of protests
and objections to,and requests for exemptions
to the proposed assessment for trash and garbage
collection, as set forth in the report filed
with the Secretary of the District. The
Assistant Secretary informed the Board that the
notice of public hearing had been published as
required by law, and the affidavit of publication
is on file in her office. The Assistant Secretary
also informed the Board that no written protest
had been received.
The Vice President asked if there were any
interested persons present who wished to be heard.
There being no protests or objections, the Vice
President closed the public hearing.
Resolution Director Hanson made a motion, seconded by
No. 80 -356 Director Wahner, that Resolution No. 80 -356,
being A RESOLUTION OF THE.BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE COSTA MESA.SANITARY DISTRICT OF ORANGE COUNTY,
CALIFORNIA, FINDING AND DECLARING NO PROTESTS
FILED TO THE PROPOSED ASSESSMENT FOR TRASH
COLLECTION AND ADOPTING THE REPORT ON FILE WITH
THE CLERK OF THE DISTRICT, be adopted. Motion
was carried by the following roll call vote:
AYES: Directors - Crank, Wahner, Hanson
NOES: Directors - None
ABSENT: Directors - Hutchison, Glockner
Adjournment to Vice President Crank declared the meeting adjourned
Executive Session to Executive Session for the purpose of discussing
annexations pending the outcome of negotiations
With the County of Orange on property tax exchange.
No action was taken.
Adjournment Upon motion by Director Wahner, seconded by
Director Hanson, and unanimously carried, the
meeting was adjourned at 8:13 p.m. 0
