COSTA MESA SANITARY DISTRICT
HELD AT 77 FAIR DRIVE
April 22, 1976
Roll Call Present: Directors Hutchison, Glockner, Warren,
Briggs, Rima
Absent: Directors - None
Officials Present: Manager Eldridge, Engineer Stevens

The Board of Directors of the Costa Mesa Sanitary
District met in adjourned regular session at 7:30 p.m.,
April 22, 1976, at the City Hall, 77 Fair Drive,
..Co,sta Mesa, California; having adjourned at the regular
session of April 7,, 1976. A copy of the notice of
adjournment was posted and delivered as required by
law.
The meeting was called to order at 7:30 p.m. by
President Rima.
Garage Charges Manager Eldridge presented the Board With a report on
0,n City the vehicles being serviced under the Internal Central
Contract Garage Accouht of the City Contract Proposal. Director
Hutchison made a motion, seconded by Director Briggs,
and unanimously carried, to accept the report as submitted.
Commercial Manager Eldridge presented a staff report on the
Assessments servicing and assessments for commercial parcels within
the district. Various alternatives available to the
district for handling these parcels were discussed.
Attorney June had presented a staff report on the
contract with Orco Disposal Service for trash hauling.
It was the staff recommendation that.the Sanitary
District discontinue servicing commercial parcels and
remove these parcels from the Special Trash Assessment
rolls. This service could be provided for commercial
parcels by private contractors.
The Board directed the staff to send out a letter to
the commercial parcels presently being serviced by
Orco Disposal Service under the District contract,
and advise them hat the District is considering
discontinuing it� ommercial trash pickups effective
June 30, 1976, and that they will no longer be charged
the trash assessment. This proposal will be discussed
Hearing Set at a public meeting on May 13, 1976 at 7:30 p.m. in
. the Council Chambers at City Hall, 77 Fair Drive,
Costa Mesa.

Consolidation Director Warren ma'de`'a motion to rescind Resolution
with City No. 68 -193, being A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE COSTA MESA SANITARY DISTRICT, ORANGE COUNTY;
CALIFORNIA, CONSENTING TO A CONSOLIDATION OF "SAID
DISTRICT WITH THE CITY OF COSTA MESA, CALIFORNIA, AND
IMPOSING CERTAIN CONDITIONS THEREON, as it is out -of-
date, untimely, and no longer applicable. This motion
was seconded by Director Briggs, and carried by the
following roll call vote:
AYES: Directors - Hutchison, Glockner, Warren,
Briggs, Rima
NOES: Directors - None
ABSENT: Directors - None
Written Manager Eldridge reported that a communication had
Communication been received from the Local Agency Formation
Commission indicating that they are considering the
establishment of,a Sphere of Influence for the Costa
" Mesa Sanitary District, and requesting background
information from our Finance Director.
Adjournment On motion by Director Hutchison, seconded by Director
Briggs, and unanimously carried, the meeting adjourned
at 8:50 p.m.
