Scavenging : In the m onth o f June, there were three c all s made to the District HQs to report scavenging activity . One call was to report scavenging activity in front of 175 Virginia Pl. Upon a rrival, I made contact with the subject and advised him of CMSD regulations regarding scavenging and was released. A second call came in to report scavenging activity in the 1960 Block of Church St. Subject was gone on arrival. The third, and last call, ca me to report scavenging activity in the 1750 Block of Whittier Ave. Unfortunately, this community is not serviced by CMSD/CR&R, so I have no jurisdiction; information was forwarded to the city of Costa Mesa. There were no citatio ns issued for the month. I will meet with CR&R Route Manager, Fra nk Campos, to plan and come up with a time frame to remove the graffiti from the trash bins. Trash Container Enforcement : In the month of June , there was one complaint that came into the District HQ s to report an address that leave s their trash bins (t/b) in public sight (p/s). I made a site visit to the following address : 3274 Turlock Dr – Tagged w/ a 1 st Noti ce (Yellow) The Eastside of Costa Mesa continues to be a priority; addresses on Santa Ana Ave, Knox Pl, Orang e Ave, Knox St, and Ogle St. So far, out of the 17 1 st Notices issued, only 2 of those addresses needed a 2 nd Notice to achieve compliance. I will continue to sweep the area and issue notices if needed.
