07 - B - CMSD Alley NoticeCosta Mesa Sanitary District Code Enforcement Division 628 W. 19th Street Costa Mesa, CA 92627 (949)645-8400 ORDINANCE CHANGE FOR RESIDENTS WHO STORE THEIR TRASH CONTAINERS IN ALLEYS Dear Costa Mesa Resident, On September 20, 2012, the CMSD Board of Directors approved Ordinance No. 93, “AN ORDINANCE OF THE COSTA MESA SANITARY DISTRICT REQUIRING THAT TRASH CONTAINERS BE STORED OUT OF PUBLIC ALLEYS .” The new code reads as follows: CMSDOC 7.01.080.— “...Trash containers placed in the alley for collection shall be removed from the alley by midnight the day of trash collection and shall be stored so as to be out of public alley, completely on private property, and out of view from the street.” If you have any questions about this notice or if you need assistance finding an appropriate location to store your trash containers out of public view, please contact the Costa Mesa Sanitary District at (949) 645-8400.
