Contract - Kaplan - 2013-02-25 FIRST AMENDMENT TO AGREEMENT
BETWEEN COSTA MESA SANITARY DISTRICT AND KAPLAN CONSULTING FOR COMPOSTING AND
VERMINCOMPISTING PRESENTATIONS WORKSHOPS
FIRST AMENDMENT to Agreement between the Costa Mesa Sanitary District and Kaplan
Consulting for composting and vermincomposting presentation workshops ("AGREEMENT") is made and
entered into this 25th day of February, 2013, by and between the Costa Mesa Sanitary District,
hereinafter referred to as DISTRICT, and Kaplan Consulting, hereinafter referred to as CONSULTANT.
WITNESSETH:
WHEREAS, on February 17, 2012, the DISTRICT and CONSULTANT entered into AGREEMENT for
composting and vermincomposting presentation workshops;and
WHEREAS,the Agreement expired on February 14, 2013; and
WHEREAS, the DISTRICT and CONSULTANT desire to extend the Agreement another year from
February 25,2013 to February 25,2014 as provided hereinafter.
NOW,THEREFORE,the Agreement is amended as of the date hereof as follows:
1. The term is this Agreement shall commence on February 25, 2013, and shall
remain and continue in effect until tasks described herein are completed and shall terminate on
February 25, 2014, unless sooner terminated pursuant to the provisions of the Agreement. -
2. The other provisions of the written contract are reaffirmed as originally stated.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the parties hereto have caused this First Amendment to be executed
this day and year first above written.
