Minutes - Board - 1944-07-21MINUTES Special meeting held at office of President TeWinkle, 7:30 P M, July 21st, 1944, entire Board sitting as Board of Equalization. Present: Directors TeWinkle, Nelson, Dodd, Lord and Norman. Assessor Hostetler. Attorney Anderson. Secretary Owen. Board of Directors sitting as Board of Equalization, examined District Assessment Rolls as submitted by District Assessor and after authorizing and directing certain changes in valuations, approved the Assessments and valuations so made by District Assessor and directed the Assessor to have the work of entering valuation figures and extensions performed by the Office of County Auditor, as previously understood and authorized. The Board then, on motion by Director Nelson seconded by Director Norman, adopted by unanimous vote the follow- ing Resolution. RESOLVED by the Board of Directors of the Costa Mesa Sanitary District that the tax rate for the tax year 194.4 to provide money for the Running Expense Fund of said District, be and is hereby fixed at Forty Cents per One Hundred Dollars of valuation of property within the District as also set by this Board." Votes: Ayes: Tewinkle, Nelson, Lord, Dodd and Norman Noes: None Absent: None Mr Beeler for the Adobe Brick project submitted draft of proposal for use of dump ground. Mr Tom Carson proprietor of Goodman Courts appeared relative to garbage and trash collections from these premises and stated he was having proper containers constructed ate street curb to facili- tate and insure deposit of such materials in conformity with District regulations. Director Nelson suggested in connection with Adobe Brick matter, that a minimum of 50 cents per thousand brick sold be fixed at $300 00. Adjourned Attest: Secre a y�-- July 21st 1944 Signed President
