BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE COSTA MESA SANITARY DISTRICT'
HELD AT 77 FAIR DRIVE
August 11, 1971
PRESENT: Directors - Rima, Glockner, Warren and Porter
ABSENT: Directors - Briggs
Officials Present: Director of Finance Oman, Attorney June,
Engineer Stevens, Manager Madsen and
Assistant Secretary Angel.
The Board of Directors of the Costa Mesa Sanitary District met
in adjourned regular session at 7:30 p.m., August 11, 1971, at
the City Hall, 77 Fair Drive, Costa Mesa, California, having
adjourned by order of the Board of Directors at its regular
session of August 4, 1971. A copy of the notice of adjourn-
ment was posted and delivered as required by law.
The meeting was called to order at 7:30 p.m. by President
Porter.
Public Hearing The President advised the Board of Directors that this was

collection, as set forth in the report filed with the Secretary

of the District. The Assistant Secretary informed the Board
that the notice of public hearing had been published as
required by law, and the affidavit of publication is on file
in her office. The Assistant Secretary also informed the
Board that no written protests had been received.

The President then asked if there were any interested persons
present who wished to be heard. There being no protests or
objections from the audience, Director Rima made a motion,
seconded by Director Warren, and unanimously carried, that
the hearing be closed.
Resolution
Thereupon Director Glockner made a. motion, seconded by
No. 71 -241
Director Rima, that Resolution No. 71 -241, being "A
RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE COSTA MESA SANITARY
DISTRICT OF ORANGE COUNTY, CALIFORNIA, OVERRULING PROTESTS
TO THE PROPOSED ASSESSMENT FOR TRASH COLLECTION, MODIFYING
THE REPORT ON FILE WITH THE CLERK AND ADOPTING SAID REPORT
AS MODIFIED," be adopted.
This motion carried by the following roll call vote:
• AYES: Directors - Glockner, Warren, Rima and Porter
NOES: Directors - None
ABSENT: Directors - Briggs

A xation Attorney June informed,the Board that the Local Agency
N 136 Formation Commission had authorized the District to annex
Resolution No. the property described in Annexation No. 136 without notice
71 -115-A or public hearing by the Board, and without an election, since
it is an annexation requested by 100% of the owners of the
real property being annexed.
Thereupon, Director Glockner made a motion, that Resolution
No. 71- 115-A, being ''A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE COSTA MESA SANITARY DISTRICT, ORANGE COUNTY, CALIFORNIA,
DECLARING AND ORDERING CERTAIN TERRITORY ANNEXED TO THE COSTA
MESA SANITARY DISTRICT WITHOUT ELECTION OR HEARING AND
ESTABLISHING AND ASSIGNING TAX CODE AREA FOR ANNEXATION NO. 136,"
be adopted.
This motion was seconded by Director Warren, and carried by
the following roll call vote:
AYES: Directors - Warren, Rima, Glockner, and Porter
NOES: Directors - None
ABSENT: Directors - Briggs
Annexation Attorney June informed the Board that the Local Agency
No. 137 Formation Commission had authorized the District to annex

71 -116 -A or public hearing by the Board, and without.an election, since

DECLARING AND ORDERING CERTAIN TERRITORY ANNEXED TO THE COSTA
MESA SANITARY DISTRICT WITHOUT ELECTION OR HEARING AND
ESTABLISHING AND ASSIGNING TAX CODE AREA FOR ANNEXATION NO. 137,"
be adopted.
This motion was seconded by Director Warren and carried by
the.following roll call vote:

NOES: Directors - None'
ABSENT: Directors - Briggs
Rima, Glockner, and Porter
Upon motion by Director Warren, seconded by Director Rima,
and unanimously carried, the meeting adjourned at 7:45 p.m.
