Dear Board of Directors,
On behalf of the City of Newport Beach, I would like to thank you and your crews for
their quick response in assistance to the sewage spill in the Balboa Island Channel two
weeks ago. The fast - acting, diligent response from your agency helped contain and
minimize damage during this incident. We were impressed with the coordination of the
various Vactor trucks from all the different agencies in removing the wastewater in a
timely and professional manner, especially considering it is the City's most congested
season.
In regards to reimbursement, I kindly request that all appropriate documents be
forwarded to Mark Harmon, Municipal Operations Director, by September 30th.
Thank you again for your assistance, and please pass along our thanks to the crews
that were on -site and to all staff involved in making the response such a success.
