MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING
BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE COSTA MESA SANITARY DISTRICT
HELD AT 77 FAIR DRIVE
October 7, 1970
ROLL CALL PRESENT: Directors - Briggs, Rims, Porter, Glockner, and Warren
ABSENT: Directors - None
Officials Present: Manager Madsen, Director of Finance Oman,
Attorney June, Engineer Stevens, Director
of Streets and Parkways Bogart, and
Assistant Secretary Angel
The meeting was called to order at 7:30 p.m. by President
Porter.
Minutes of Upon motion by Director Warren, seconded by Director Rims,
September 2, 1970 and unanimously carried, the minutes of September 2, 1970,
were approved as posted and distributed.
Victoria Street Mr. Oman explained that the Sanitary District Purchase Order
Ower Lateral issued to E. L. White Company for the Victoria Street Sewer
Laterals had been cancelled, and a new purchase order issued
by the City of Costa Mesa.
Nancy E. West Manager Madsen informed the Board that he had received a Claim
Claim for Damages from Virtue and Schick, Attorneys at Law, for Nancy E.
West. Upon motion by Director Rima, seconded by Director
Briggs, and unanimously carried, the claim was received and
filed.
Request for Refund Manager Madsen informed the Board that he had again received
from Swimming Pool a request from Sunset Pools for a refund on their sewer
Contractor connection permit. After discussion, DirectoY Glockner made
a motion that the staff give this further study, and that
action on this request be deferred to the next regular meeting.
This motion was seconded by Director Warren and unanimously,
carried.
Auditor's Report Director Rims made a motion, seconded by Director Briggs, and
unanimously carried, that the Auditor's Report for 1969 -1970
be received and filed.
House Count A communication was read by Mr. Harley..Bogart requesting an
addition of 58 units to the House Count. It was moved by
Director Briggs, seconded by Director Rima and unanimously
. carried, that 58 units be added to the House Count, making a
total of 26,373 as of October 1, 1970.,

Financial Report Upon motion by Director Briggs, seconded by Director Warren,
• and unanimously carried, the Financial Report for the month
of September, 1970, was approved as submitted.
Mary A. Corral Mrs. Mary A. Corral requested a refund of $52.50 on her trash
Request for Refund and garbage assessment, since she uses a private contractor.
Trash and Garbage After discussion, Director Glockner made a motion that a
refund be made in the amount of $10.00 for the error the
District made in picking up the garbage as a unit. This motion
was seconded by Director Warren and carried by the following
roll call vote:
AYES: Directors - Warren, Glockner, Briggs and
Porter
NOES: Directors - Rima
ABSENT: Directors - None
Director of Director Warren made a motion authorizing the President and
Finance Report Secretary to sign Report No. 70 -3 instructing the County
No. 70 -3 Auditor to draw a warrant from the General Running Expense
Fund in the amount of $37,426.83.
This motion was seconded by Director,Briggs and carried by
the following roll call vote:
AYES: Directors - Briggs, Rima, Glockner, Warren

ABSENT: Directors - None
Director of Director Warren made a motion authorizing the President and
Finance Report Secretary to sign Report No. 70 -4 instructing the County
No. 70 -4 Auditor to draw a warrant from the No. 7 Sewer Trunk Fund
in the amount of $18.85.
This motion was seconded by Director Briggs and carried by
the following roll call vote:

and Porter
NOES: Directors - None
ABSENT: Directors - None
Adjournment Upon motion by Dire r Warren, seconded by Director Briggs,
and unanimously c r'ed, the meeting adjourned at 8:30 p.m.
