FOR CONSULTING SERVICES

This Second Amendment ( "SECOND AMENDMENT ") to the July 26, 2011
Agreement between the Costa Mesa Sanitary District and Robert Thornton Architects,
Inc. for electrical engineering design services for the ground floor reception area
remodel addition at District Headquarters ( "AGREEMENT ") is made and entered into
this 3\ s-1" day of , 2012, by and between the Costa Mesa Sanitary
District, hereinafter referred t as DISTRICT, and Robert Thornton Architects, Inc.,
hereinafter referred to as CONSULTANT.
Recitals
WHEREAS, on July 26, 2011 the DISTRICT and CONSULTANT entered into
AGREEMENT for electrical engineering design services for the ground floor reception
area remodel addition at District Headquarters; and
WHEREAS, on March 23, 2012, the DISTRICT and CONSULTANT amended the
AGREEMENT to change the scope of work and increase CONSULTANT'S
compensation for services rendered; and
WHEREAS, City of Costa Mesa Building Inspections is requiring accurate "as
built" of District headquarters that include electrical wiring diagram, panel schedules
and load calculations; and
WHEREAS, the CONSULTANT has submitted a proposal to provide said
services; and
WHEREAS, the DISTRICT and CONSULTANT now desire to amend the
AGREEMENT to change the scope of work and increase CONSULTANT'S
compensation for services rendered.
NOW, THEREFORE, the parties hereto agree as follows:
1. Section 5 in the AGREEMENT shall be amended by adding the following
subsection:
"(a) DISTRICT agrees to pay CONSULTANT the sum of $4,150 for providing a
full site and building survey along with plans of DISTRICT Headquarters."
2. The term of this Second Amendment shall become effective upon its adoption.
3. Except as specifically amended by the terms of this SECOND AMENDMENT, all
provisions of the FIRST AMENDMENT and original AGREEMENT shall remain in full
force and effect.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the parties hereto have caused this SECOND
AMENDMENT to be executed this day and year first above written.
