Special Meeting Board of Directors of Costa Mesa Sanitary District
called by President TeWinkle for purpose of discussing protest by
citizens living in vicinity of dump site against Use Permit granted
by Board of Supervisors. Meeting called to order 7 :30 P M. C M Nelson
appoi0ted Aoting Secretary
Directors present: TeWinkle Nelson Dodd Lord and Norman
Others present: Fire Chief Bert Smith, Emil Greener and
Supervisor Gordon
Supervisor Gordon explained grounds upon whioh a Protest
Hearing was granted by the Board of Supervisors
General discussion of alleged causes for protest and grounds
upon which same made was had
It was the oonoensus of opinion of those present informally
expressed that the dump site in question did not present a
nuisance and that the prevailing winds would not carry smoke
to or across the location of any residence
Moved by Norman seconded by Lord that a olause be added to
and inserted in the existing oontraot between the Board and
Julius T Hedrick to the effect that the Contractor would
at all times maintain oonditions at the dump in accordance
with County Ordinances 304 and 351 and amendments thereto
