Minutes - Board - 1968-07-25MINUTES OF THE REGULAR ADJOURNED MEETING • BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE COSTA MESA SANITARY DISTRICT HELD AT 77 FAIR DRIVE July 25, 1968 Roll Call PRESENT: Directors - Rima, Warren, Briggs, Glockner, and Porter ABSENT: Directors - None Officials Present: Director of Finance Oman, Attbrney June, Engineer Stevens, Manager Madsen, Street Superintendent Bogart, and Assistant Secretary Angel The Board of Directors of the Costa Mesa Sanitary District met in adjourned regular session at 7:30 p.m July 25, 1968, at the City Hall, 77 Fair Drive, Costa Mesa, California, having adjourned by order of the Board of Directors at its regular adjourned session of July 18, 1968. A copy of the notice of adjournment was posted and delivered as required by law. The meeting was called to order at 7:30 p.m. by President Porter. • ssessment Director of Finance Oman presented the results of the District staff's study based on the formula approved at the meeting of July 18, 1968. Mr. Oman made the following recommendations: 1. That the base assessment be increased to 15.00 per year. 2a That instead of renui.r_ing a certification from property owners this year, the Board a .en the field check made by the staff and a list received from Dewey of his clients in the is rict. Thereupon Director Warren made a motion to approve Mr. Oman's recommendations as outlined above and that Resolution No. 68 -198, being "A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE COSTA MESA SANITARY DISTRICT OF ORANGE COUNTY, CALIFORNIA, OVER- RULING PROTESTS TO THE PROPOSED ASSESSMENT FOR TRASH COLLECTION MODIFYING THE REPORT ON FILE WITH THE CLERK AND ADOPTING SAID REPORT AS MODIFIED," be adopted. This motion was seconded by Director Rima and carried by the following roll call vote : AYES: Directors - Rima, Warren, Briggs, Glockner, . and Porter NOES: Directors - None ABSENT: Directors - None - 2 - 0 Attorney Director Warren made a motion that Attorney June be Instructed to instructed to prepare an Ordinance setting forth Prepare Ordinance the penalties for not providing adequate trash and setting forth garbage pick -up service, etc., seconded by Director Penalties for not Rima and unanimously carried. Providing Adequate Trash & Pick up Service Written President Porter asked the Clerk if there were any Communications written communications. The Clerk stated that 20 communications had been received regarding the Assessment and turned over to Mr. Oman for follow -up, Adjournment Upon motion by Director Rima, seconded by Director Warren, and unanimously carried, the meeting adjourned at 8:30 p.m. President Secretary 11
