RE PROPOSED RATE INCREASE BY MANAGER/DISTRICT ENGINEER
Dear Board of Directors
Enclosed herein is a request to have a modest increase in the
hourly rate charged to the District for managing and engineering
The request is to raise the current hourly rate from $59/hr to
3/ r No request is being submitted for changes in hourly
ra es for drafting inspection or surveying Enclosed for your
reference is a letter dated May 21 1992 that outlined the
previously approved increases
• Please refer to the second paragraph of the attached letter for
my beliefs in regard to working with the District These ideals
are very important to me and have lead to a long standing
successful working relationship With regard to performance I
believe the District is well run very efficient and the
administrative staff and field crews are very pleased with their
ability to communicate with management and have their ideas
considered and implemented where appropriate I believe the
Board is aware that they have absolute top priority when making
phone calls to my office or requests for work or information
Also I am open to and encourage suggestions and criticism by
both Board and Staff
The proposed increase outlined herein equates to an approximate
$5 000 increase for the 1996-97 CMSD budget The Finance
Director has stated this will have no effect on the trash or
sewer use fees
It is proposed to have the increase effective July 1 1996
however all previously approved design phase projects will be
completed under the rates approved with those projects
