Re: Proposed Rate Increase for Manager/District Engineer
Dear Board of Directors:
At the June 1 2005 Special Meeting to discuss the proposed 2005-2006 CMSD Budget,
the Board of Directors stated that the compensation rates of the Manager/District
Engineer should be increased 3% for two of the categories; the rate for hours worked as
Manager and for the monthly engineering retainer Therefore, enclosed is a schedule
showing the current rate and proposed rate for consideration by the Board of Directors.
The Treasurer adjusted the 2005-2006 budget to include this increase.
The recommendation by the Board of Directors of a compensation increase is greatly
• appreciated.
It is appropriate to mention that the existing and proposed rates shown below are
substantially below the typical rates charged by engineering firms to public agencies and
private developers. The low rates are offered in exchange for the continuing relationship
that allows for streamlining operations in a cost effective manner It is a pleasure to
mention that all the employees of Robin B. Hamers & Associates, Inc. are very dedicated
to the District and take pride in the District being run in an efficient and professional
manner while maintaining a friendly and close working relationship among the work
force. The District receives many compliments from developers and their engineers with
regard to the ease and cooperativeness of District Staff when processing plans and
developments through the District.
