RE PROPOSAL TO BEGIN PROJECT

PUMP STATION RECOATING AND MAINTENANCE
Gentlemen
Enclosed please find a proposal to begin the design phase of
subject project The project entails incorporating various
maintenance items at various pumping stations into one capital
project
The scope of work includes the following items
1 Repair and replace the existing protective coating on the
interior wet well structure surfaces and doors Work to be
done only at stations in need of recoating
2 Add new electrical relay controls to all pumping stations
which will more adequately sense a heat induced overload in
the pumps This will serve to notify personnel as early as
possible that a pump is down
3 Replace piping in various stations that has been subject to
corrosion from hydrogen sulfide gas and sulfuric acid
buildup
4 Install odor control and corrosion protection where
necessary Upon arrival of the gas monitor detection device
a survey of the existing stations will be completed to
determine the extent of odor control and corrosion
protection measures included in the project
The estimated construction cost has not yet been determined since
a final review of the pumping stations has not been completed but
the construction cost should not exceed $100 000

Therefore it is proposed to complete the design phase which
includes the above research preparation of construction plans
and specifications putting the project out to bid, obtaining
bids and making a recommendation to the Board of Directors at
the previously approved following engineering rates not to exceed
$8 800
Engineering $55 00/hr
Drafting $44 00/hr
Please note that billing will be only for actual time worked
