Minutes - Board - 1965-09-01MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE COSTA HESA SANITARY DISTRICT HELD AT 695 WEST 19TH STREET September 1, 1965 Roll Call PRESENT: Directors - Norman, Porter, Nelson, Reade, and Meyers ABSENT: Directors - None Officials Present: Manager O'Donnell, Attorney Dungan, Engineer Sou-thworth, Director of Finance Oman, Street Superin- tendent Bogart, and Assistant Secretary Angel The meeting was called to order at 7:,30 p.m. by President Meyers. Minutes of Director Nelson made a motion that the minutes of August 18, 1965, August 4 and be corrected to show the operational maintenance tax rate to be August 18, $.2458, seconded by Director Reade, and unanimously carried. 1965 Thereupon Director Nelson made a motion that the minutes of 'August 4, 1965, be approved as posted and distributed, and-that the minutes of August 18, 1965, be approved as corrected, seconded by Director Porter, and unanimously carried. PUBLIC HEARING The Secretary notified the Sanitary Board that this was the time • Annexation No. 95 and place fixed for the hearing on the Petition presented to the Board for the annexation of a parcel of land located on Baker Street (4.0 acres), known as Annexation No. 95. The President then announced that this was the time and place set for the hearing of protests. The President then inquired of the Secretary whether any written objections to the annexation had been filed with him prior to the time set for the hearing. The Secretary reported that he had not received any written objections against the proposed annexation and /or the inclusion of any property within such annexation territory. The Assistant Secretary had not received any written objections in her office. There being no protests or objections from the floor, it was moved by Director Reade, seconded by Director Nelson, and unanimously carried, that the hearing be closed. Annexation No. 95 With the provision that Annexation No. 95 be placed in the basic Resolution No. tax code area, Director Reade made a motion, seconded by Director - 65-73-A Porter, that'Resolution No. 65 -73 -A, being "AN ORDER AND RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE COSTA MESA SANITARY DISTRICT OF ORANGE COUNTY, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING ANNEXATION NO. 95," be adopted. The motion carried by the following roll call vote: AYES: Directors - Norman, Porter, Reade, Nelson, and Meyers If NOES: Directors - None ABSENT: Directors - None K *Minutes of 10th Manager O'Donnell presented the minutes of the 10th annual Annual Convention convention of the California Sanitary and Sanitation Districts Calif. Sanitary Association for the information of the Board. The Board irs�--ructed and Sanitation the Assistant Secretary to circulate the minutes to each member Districts Assn. of the Board. • Change in Amount Director of Finance Oman informed the Board that Mr. Heim of Transferred to Orange County had informed him that an error had been made in B 6 I Redemption the amount of interest apportionment made to the Bond and Interest Fund Redemption Fund of $1,000. Therefore, the amount of the transfer should have been $5,500.00 instead of $6,500.00. Resolution No. 65 -169 amending Resolution No. 65 -167 Financial Report Auditor's Report Director Porter made a motion that Resolution No. 65 -169, being "A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE COSTA MESA SANITARY DISTRICT OF ORANGE COUNTY, CALIFORNIA, A14ENDING RESOLUTION NO. 65- 167," be adopted. This motion was seconded by Director Reade and carried by the following roll call vote: AYES: Directors - Norman, Porter, Reade,. Nelson, and Meyers NOES: Directors - None ABSENT: Directors - None Upon motion by Director Porter, seconded by Director Reade, and unanimously carried, the Financial Report for the month of August, 1965, was accepted and filed. Upon motion by Director Porter, seconded by Director Reade, and unanimously carried, the Auditor's Report for the Fiscal Year ended June 30, 1965, was accepted and filed. House Count A communication was read by Street Superintendent Bogart requesting an addition of 93 units to the house count. It was moved-b,,* Director Porter, seconded by Director Norman, and unanimously carried, that 93 units be added to the house count, making a total of 23,425 as of September 1, 1965. Warrant Res. Upon motion by Director Porter, seconded by Director Norman, No. 130 Resolution No. 130 for the payment of $26,185.06 from the Running Expense Fund, and $23,986.63 from the Sewer Construction Fund was ordered paid by the following roll call vote: AYES: Directors - Norman, Porter, Nelson, Reade, and Meyers NOES: Directors - None ABSENT: Directors - None Adjournment Upon motion by Director Reade, seconded by Director Nelson, and unanimously carried, the meeting adjourned at 8:10 p.m.` • ' ident Secretary
