REHABILITATE CANYON PUMPING STATION FORCE MAIN
Dear Board of Directors:
Enclosed is an excerpt from the Fiscal Year 2000-2001 Capital Improvement Program (CIP)
outlining the existing condition of the pressurized sewer main(force main) in Wilson Street and the
need for its rehabilitation. As described in the CIP the line is deteriorating and has failed twice.
It is proposed to take advantage of trenchless technology and rehabilitate the pipe line interior
using one of the half dozen, no-dig methods. No-dig methods such as slip-lining allow a new pipe
to fit within the existing pipe without excavation from the street surface. The project will be bid in
a manner allowing the traditional excavation method as well as no-dig methods to achieve the
lowest price.
In addition to the project description in the CIP also attached is the independent review of the
project by Norris-Repke, Inc. civil engineers.
It is proposed to complete the design phase engineering at the following hourly rate, not to exceed
$13 125
Engineering $ 63 00/hr
Surveying(2 man crew) 160 00/hr
