MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING
BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE COSTA MESA SANITARY DISTRICT
HELD AT 695 WEST 19TH STREET
March 4, 1964
PRESENT: Directors - Stephens, Norman, Porter, Hollister, and Meyers
ABSENT: Directors - None
Officials Present: Assistant Secretary Swartz,.Attorney Dungan,
Engineer Southworth, Director of Finance Hartzler, and
Street Foreman Bogart
The meeting was called to order at 7:30 p.m. by President Meyers.
Upon motion by Director Stephens, seconded by Director Hollister, and
unanimously carried, the minutes of February 5, 1964, were approved
as posted and distributed.
Upon motion by Director Porter, seconded by Director Hollister, and
unanimously carried, the Financial Report for the month of February,
1964, was accepted and filed.
Director of Finance Hartzler informed the Board that in order to meet
the debt obligations due on March 1, 1964, it was necessary to transfer
the sum of $3,100 from the General or Running Expense Fund to the
Costa Mesa Sanitary District Interest and Debt Redemption Fund (Basic
Area), and requested that the Board ratify this action.
Thereupon Director Porter made a motion to adopt a minute resolution
ratifying the transfer of $3,100 from the General or Running Expense
Fund to the Costa Mesa Sanitary District Interest and Debt Redemption
Fund, and authorizing the County Auditor - Controller to return the loan
to the General Fund as soon as tax monies are available (prior to the
end of the current fiscal year.) This motion was seconded by Director
Stephens and carried by the following roll call vote:
AYES: Directors - Stephens, Norman, Porter, Hollister, and Meyers
NOES: Directors - None
ABSENT: Directors - None
House Count A communication was read by Assistant Secretary Swartz requesting the
addition of 143 units to the house count. It was moved by Director
Hollister, seconded by Director Norman, and unanimously carried, that
143 units be added to the house count, making a total of 20,833 as of
March 1, 1964.
Abandonment Assistant Secretary Swartz informed the Board that the City Council
of Anaheim had started proceedings to abandon that portion of Anaheim Avenue
Avenue between Joann and Wilson, and that the staff of the District recommends
Sewer that the District also abandon its sewer line in the same area.
Easement
Resolution After discussion, Director Hollister mach a motion to adopt Resolution
.No. 64 -154 No. 64 -1549 being "A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE
COSTA MESA SANITARY DISTRICT, ORANGE COUNTY, CALIFORNIA, DECLARING
ITS INTENTION TO ORDER THE VACATION AND ABANDONMENT OF SEWER EASEMENT,
POSTING NOTICE OF HEARING, AND SETTING DATE OF HEARING, public hearing

Anaheim to be April 1, 1964. This motion was seconded by Director Porter
abandonment and carried by the following roll call vote:

Warrant Upon motion by Director Stephens, seconded by Director Norman,
Resolution Warrant Resolution No. 111 for the payment of $20,633.67 from the
111 Running Expense fund was approved by the following roll call vote:

NOES: Directors - None
ABSENT: Directors - None
Adjournment Upon motion by Director Stephens, seconded by Director Hollister, and
unanimously carried, the meeting adjourned at 8:00 p.m.
