Minutes - Board - 1963-06-05~ MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE COSTA MESA SANITARY DISTRICT • HELD AT 695 WEST 19TH STREET June 5, 1963 Roll Call PRESENT: Directors - Stephens, Norman, Porter, Hollister, and Meyers ABSENT: Directors - None Officials Present: Assistant Secretary Swartz, Engineer Southworth, Director of Finance Hartzler, and Street Superintendent Heller The meeting was called to order at 7:30 P.M. by President Meyers. Minutes of Upon motion by Director Stephens, seconded by Director Porter, and May 1, 1963 unanimously carried, the minutes of May 1, 1963, were approved as mailed. Financial Upon motion by Director Hollister, seconded by Director Stephens, Report and unanimously carried, the Financial Report for I -lay, 1963, was accepted and ordered filed. City Contract After discussion, Director Stephens made a motion that the proposed Budget City Contract Budget be approved as submitted by the Director of Finance, seconded by Director Porter and carried by the following roll call vote: • AYES: Directors - Stephens, Norman, Porter, Hollister, and Meyers NOES: Directors - None ABSENT: Directors - None Preliminary Upon motion of Director Stephens, seconded by Director Hollister, Budget and unanimously carried, the preliminary Budget for the Fiscal Year 1963 -1964 1963 -1964, of the Costa Mesa Sanitary District, was approved as presented by the Director of Finance. House Count A communication was read by Assistant Secretary Swartz requesting an addition of 187 units to the house count. It was moved by Director Norman, seconded by Director Stephens, and unanimously carried, that 187 units be added to the house count, making a total of 19,132 as of June 1, 1963. California Assistant Secretary Swartz advised the Board that notice had been Sanitary received of the Annual Convention of the California Sanitary District District Assn. Association, to be held in Coronado on July 25 -28. Convention It was moved by Director Porter, seconded by Director Hollister, that since it was to the best interest of the District to have representation at such conferences, that the necessary expenses incurred by any of the Directors or officials of the District attending the conference be paid by the District. This motion carried by the following roll call vote: 40 AYES: Directors - Stephens, Norman, Porter, Hollister, 6 Meyers NOES: Directors - None ABSENT: Directors - None 40jarrant Upon motion by Director Porter, seconded by Director Norman, Warrant Res, 101 Resolution No. 101 for the payment of $18,234.66 from the Running Expense Fund was ordered paid by the following roll call vote: AYES: Directors - Stephens, Norman, Porter, Hollister, and Meyers NOES: Directors - None ABSENT: Directors - None Warrant Upon motion by Director Stephens, seconded by Director Porter, Warrant Res. 102 Resolution No. 102 for the payment of $4,812.50 from the Costa Mesa Sanitary District Impounded Sewer Connection Fees Fund was ordered paid by the following roll call vote: AYES: NOES: ABSENT: Adjournment Upon motion unanimously • Directors - Stephens, Norman, Porter, Hollister, & Meyers Directors - None Directors - None by Director Stephens, seconded by Director Porter, and carried, the meeting was adjourned at 8:15 P.M.
