T() AGREEMENT FOR TRAFFIC CONTROL ENGINEERING CONSULTANT SERVICES

This First Amendment to the Agreement between Costa Mesa Sanitary District and Traffic
Control Engineering, Inc (the 'First Amendment") made this /S,tt., day of 34.' 2010
(the 'Effective Date') by and between COSTA MESA SANITARY DISTRICT a anitary district
("District") and TRAFFIC CONTROL ENGINEERING INC a California corporation ("Consultant");
WITNESSETH
WHEREAS, the District and Consultant entered into an Agreement to provide traffic control
engineering services on May 27 2010 (the Agreement"); and
WHEREAS the City of Costa Mesa is requesting a lane closure and detour plan before a
permit can be issued; and
WHEREAS, the Consultant has requested that an amendment to the scope of service be
made; and
WHEREAS, the District has agreed to the amendments as provided hereinafter and
WHEREAS, by this First Amendment, the District and Consultant hereby amend the
Agreement, including certain exhibits thereto, as provided hereinafter
NOW, THEREFORE, the Agreement is amended as of the date hereof as follows:
1 Section 2. Services of the Agreement is hereby amended by deleting 'Exhibit A and
replacing it with Exhibit '1-A attached hereto.
2. Section 5 Payment of the Agreement is hereby amended by deleting 'three thousand five
hundred dollars ($3,500)' and inserting the following in lieu thereof six thousand dollars
($6 000).
3. Except as specifically modified and amended herein, all of the terms, provisions,
requirements and specifications contained in the Agreement remain in full force and effect.
Except as otherwise expressly provided herein, the parties do not intend to, and the
execution of this Amendment shall not, in any manner impair the Agreement, the purpose
of this Amendment being simply to amend and ratify the Agreement, as hereby amended
and ratified, and to confirm and carry forward the Agreement, as hereby amended, in full
force and effect.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF District and Consultant have executed this Amendment on the date
first above written.
