Minutes - Board - 1959-10-29MINUTES OF THE REvULAR ADJOURNED FETING BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE COSTA MESA SANITARY DISTRICT HELD AT 695 W. 19TH STREET 0 October 29, 1959 ROLL CALL Present: Directors Stephens, Norman, Hollister, Porter and Meyers. Absent: Directors - None. Officials Present: District Manager Unger, Engineer Southworth, Street Foreman Heller. The meeting was called to order at 7 :30 p.m. by President Meyers. Public Hearing, The Secretary advised the Board that this was the time and Confirmation of Assess- place fixed pursuant to statute and notice given for the hearing ment on Joann Street in the matter of the assessment for the construction of sanitary sewers and appurtenant work in Assessment District No. 6, in Joann Street and certain other streets in said District as described in Resolution of Intention No. 98, adopted by the Board of Directors of said District on the 5th day of February, 1959• The Secretary also informed the Board that Affidavits of Mailing, Posting and publication of the Notice of Filing of Assessment were on file in his office. The Secretary further reported that no written protests had been received. The President then opened the hearing and asked if there were any persons present desiring to be heard. No persons desiring to be heard, and all persons present being given fall opportunity to be heard, it was moved by Director Hollister and seconded by Director Porter and unanimously carried that all objections, both written and oral be, and the same are hereby overruled avid denied, and that the assessment be approved and confirmed. iviaster Plan of Refuse A letter was read from the Orange County Highway Department Disposal - concerning their proposal for a master plan of refuse disposal County of Orange for the county. A public explanation of the Proposal will be held November 4th at 10:00 a.m. in the Board room at the County Court House, and any and all Directors interested in this pro- posal are invited to attend. Marine Disposal Survey A communication was received from the State Water Pollution State Water Pollution Control Board concerning their survey report of marine disposal Control Board of sewage. It was moved by Director Hollister, seconded by Director Porter and unanimously carried that the Board purchase two copies of the survey.
