Ord 1994-24i f •UI VAV: • AN ORDINANCE OF THE COSTA MESA SANITARY DISTRICT AMENDING ORDINANCE 20 AND PROVIDING FOR CHARGES FOR ADMINISTERING REFUNDS ON CANCELLED PERMITS. THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE COSTA MESA SANITARY DISTRICT HEREBY FINDS AND DECLARES that certain amounts of Staff time are taken up in the administrative process of refunding fees on requests made by permittees desiring to cancel per- mits. THE BOARD FURTHER FINDS AND DECLARES that said administrative costs should be borne by the permittee; THE BOARD FURTHER FINDS AND DECLARES that subparagraph (f) of Article 3 of Ordinance 20 be added to accomplish this purpose. SECTION 1. ACCORDINGLY, Ordinance 20 of the Costa Mesa Sanitary District is hereby amended by adding thereto a subsection (f) to Article 3 of Ordinance 20 to read as follows: "There shall be a charge of $20.00 for the administrative costs of preparing for and making a refund of charges for permits where the permittee has requested and the District has agreed to refund of the permit. No charge shall be made where a refund is necessary by reason of error or mistake of the District." SECTION 2. Pursuant to Sections 6490 and 6491.3, Health & Safety Code, the Secretary of the District shall certify to the passage of this Ordinance and shall cause the same to be published once in the Orange Coast Daily Pilot, a newspaper of general circulation printed, published and circulated in the Costa Mesa Sanitary District, Orange County, California, and seven (7) days after its publication, it shall be in full force and effect.
