( HELD AT HUDSON HOUSE, 2260 Harbor Blvd., COSTA MESA, CALIFORNIA
November 22, 1956
Roll. Call Directors Present: Norman, Porter, Nelson., Hollister, Meyers
Directors Absents none
Officials Present: Engineer Southworth, Attorney Dungan
The meeting was called to order at 12;00 noon by President Meyers
Resolution #3h The Engineer reported to the board that he had checked all of the bids
[Bids., Annex. received and further reported that the bid of G. E. Kerns Construction
13., 15., 17 Co. for $518,546.30 was the lowast responsible bid received and recom-
mended that the Board award the contract to said low bidder. On motion
r of Director Nelson., seconded by Director Porter, Resolution No. 344
being a resolution awarding the contract for the constriction of sani-
tary sewers and appurtenant work in Annexations No. 13, 15.,..-and 17 to
the Costa -Mesa Sanitary District, Orange County., California., to G. E.
Kerns Construction Co. at the pri :.:es named in its' bid was adopted by
the following roll call vote:
AYESs Directors Nelson, Normans Porter, Hollister, Meyers
NOESs Directors = none
ABSENT: Directors m none
Sulfide in Director Nelson reported that the County Sanitary District indictates that
bs the average reading; of sulfide in the line is high enough to warrant a
cleaning of all the. old lines of the system. The attorney will take thin
information to City Manager Unger for recommendation,
Upon motion of Arector Nelson, seconded by Director Porter and unani-
mously carried the meeting adjourned at 1265 p.m.
