Minutes - Board - 1956-10-18MINUTES OF THE ADJOURNED MEETING OF THE COSTA 1,1ESA SANITARY DISTRICT HELD AT 1985 NEWPORT AVENUE _ October 18, 1956 Call Directors Presents Hollister, Nelson, Meyers, Norman Directors Absent; Porter Officials Presentr Fiscal Officer Hartzler, Engineer Southworthp Street Foreman Heller, Attorney Dungan The meeting was called to order at 7 :30 p.m. by President-Meyers. Minutes Upon motion of.Director Hollister, seconded by Director Nelson and unanimously carried the-minutes of the last meeting were approved as mailed. Easement for Street Director Nelson informed the board that he had been approached by two on 19th St. Proper - men asking if the Sanitary Board would give an easement along the South - ty erly side of the property owned.by the District on W. 19th Street for a new street to runkbetween Whittier,and Nionr'ovia. After discussion it was moiled by Director Hollister„ seeonded.by Director Norman,'and. unanimously carried that the board agrees io grant such an easement in the event that easements can be obtained from the other property owners to run the street from Whittie'r"to•.Monrovia. Annexation #36 The Board received a petition signed by 100% of the property owners in Dudley Smith Annexation #36 and the.approval of the Boundary Commission. Upon motion of Director Norman, seconded bir Director Nelson, andiunanimously carried that the time and place for the.hearing be set for December 6, 1956 and olvlelx�ation ordered'- the puiblitiAbn of the necessary 'aotices3086 The L�ngineer presented the request the subdividers of Tract 3086 in the City-of Newport Beach to annex to the Sanitary District. After dis- cussion it was agreed to table the proposal until the City..Councils of Newport Beach" and Costa Mesa have their' joint, meeting. Annexation 13, 15, ' -Ne- Engineer presented the prelik4_nary plans: for Annexations 13p .15, 17 17 Prelim. Plans for the review of'the' board. "The board agreed that the'line "should be ` in the front of-the property inasmuch as most property owners had fences etc. on the rear portion. Segestrom: Addition 'The question' "was: presented as `tocfether' or not it would be possible for Trash & Garbage the Sanitary District to pick up .trash and garbage for the Se­ stroiti` Addition., After'; discussion'the board decided that -inasmuch- as - this addition was not'-in the district they could hilt at this time'pick_up the trash and garbage,, The board suggested that perhaps H.r. Unger be asked'to check with other industrial plants in the city to­6e hoW they disposed of their trash and garbage'.and to'contact other cities with regard to their procedure.
