Bids -Bonds This being the time and place fixed for the opening of bids for the W0,0W® Annex. 13$ 159 bonds of Costa Mesa Sanitary District,, Orange County, California, in and and 1" for Annexations No. 13$ 159 and 17 and numbered 1 -760 inclusive the follow- . ing bids received pursuant to the meeting were publicly opened, examined, and declaredl n 4VCoimmmica- •dons J, Henchliffe 14ho Monrovia Security First National Bank of Los Angeles bid for, accrued interest to date of delivery and the premium of $61.00 for bonds bearing interest based annually the first year and semiannually thereafter at the rates of a Rates Years. 5% 1957 -1962 41V 1963w1986 Gross,, Rogers,, and Co. bid for accrued interest to date of delivery. " and the premium of 551000 for bonds bearing interest based annually the first year and semi. - annually thereafter at the rates of: Rates Years 4 3A% 1957 -1986 Bank of America National Trust and Savings Association bid for accrued interest to date of delivery and the premium $49,00 for bonds bearing interest based annually the first year and semiannually thereafter at rates of s Rates years 6% 1957 @1965 4 3/4% 1966 -1981 5% 19821986 Each bid was accompanied by a good faith check in the amount not less than $220800, All bids were then referred to a committee consisting of Donald Dungan, Attorney, Donald Southworth,, Engineer, and Charles Heller,, Street Foreman for checking and consideration, a report thereon to be given to the board of directors later in this meeting•- The committee reported back to the board they had checked all bids opened previously during this meeting and further reported that the bids of the Security First National Bank of Los Angeles is the lour bid bearing the log' yst net interest `0 is After considering the various bids and report thereof it was moved by Director Norman, seconded b.r Director Hollister, and unanimously carried that the bids be taken under consideration until Friday, September 21 at 12s00 noon at the Hudson mouse, 2260 Harbor Blvd., Costa Mesa, California. Mr. Jack Henchliffe$ eta al, were present requesting information as to why the Sanitary District did not core up the easement with the sewer so the Property owners in that area could more readily connect, Attorney Dungan informed them that this easement was for water purposes only and therefore the Sanitary District could not use this unless they were graded easement,, 424 ' Mr. Hencliffe asked if this cost would be paid by the Sanitary District. The engineer informed them that bis was under the 1911 Act and therefore the property owners would have to bear the cost. after further discussion it was agreed that the right -of -way agent Mr. Wilson would give them an estimate as to the cost of installing their own sewer line. Mr. Henchliffe to secure permission from a portion of the property owners for this ease- ment, and Mr. Wilson to contact the Hills' for their permission,, then to contact Mr. Henchliffe. Bond -Trash & Attorney Dungan informed the board that Mr. Kenneth Price had posted his Garbage Coliec-- band for Trash and Garbage Collection. Thereupon it was moved by Director for Porter, seconded by Director Hollister, and unanimously carried that the President Pro -Tem and Secretary be authorized to sign the agreement with Mr. Price,, and that a refund of the amount nov, held on deposit against him be given Mr. Price. , Adjournment Moved by Director Hollister,, seconded by Director Porter and unanimously carried that the meeting be adjourned at 8 :40 p.m. to 12 00 noon,, September 219 1956, at the Hudson House.
