MINUTES OF SPECIAL MEETING
BOARD OF DIRECTORSOF THE COSTA MESA SANITARY DISTRICT
HELD AT 111 E. 20TH STREET, COSTA MESA, CALIFORNIA
October 11, 1955
Present: Directors.Meyers, Nelson, Hollister, Porter
Attorney Dungan, Engineer Southworth, Secretary Owen
Absent: Director Norman
Visitors: Councilmen Smith, TeWinkle and Pinkley
In the temporary absence of President Meyers, the meeting was called
to order by Director Nelson at 8:00 P.M., who explained that the purpose
of the meeting was to consider the sale of the District "Dump Site"
...located on West 19th Street, to the City of Costa Mesa.
Upon full and complete discussion it was moved-by Director Porter,
seconded by Director Hollister that a -vrritten proposal be submitted
to the City of 'Costa Mesa offering to sell the land in question,
being the Easterly one -half of Lot 1101, Newport Mesa Tract, at a
price of x$7,500.00, or if upon official appraisal such. appraisal
should be less than x¢7,500.00, then in that event the mean appraisal
value so fixed be substituted for the $7,500.00 figure.
Roll Call Vote: AYES: :Director Meyers, Porter, Hollister
NOT VOTING: Director Nelson
ABSENT: Director Norman
On motion by Director Nelson, seconded by Director Porter, and
unanimously carried, the meeting adjourned.at 8 :45 P.M.
