Subject: Upcoming Waste Disposal Agreement (WDA) Renewal
Dear Mr. Carroll:
As you are aware, the Initial Term of the Waste Disposal Agreement (WDA) you entered into with
Orange County will be ending on June 30, 2025. Per section 6.1 (B) Option to Renew, Costa Mesa
Sanitary District is required to provide written notice to the County of your intent to renew the
WDA on or before June 30, 2022. Your organization's written notice of its interest in renewing
the WDA will be used to initiate the formal discussions and negotiations for renewal of the WDA
beyond June 30, 2025.
While the language in the WDA states that the Renewal Term will be on the "same terms and
conditions" as the existing WDA, please be advised that it is OCWR's intent to include new terms
in any new or amended WDA to reflect compliance under SB 1383 and future legislation.
