A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE COSTA MESA
SANITARY DISTRICT ADOPTINGTHE BOARD OF DIRECTORS

WHEREAS, the Board of Directors have adopted various resolutions and
ordinances of policies and procedures on how public meetings should be conducted;
and
WHEREAS, a Procedures Handbook was created as accepted practices and
procedures by the Board of Directors for the effective conduct of District business; and
WHEREAS, the Costa Mesa Sanitary District Board of Directors Procedures
Handbook provides a summary of relevant statutory requirements, regulations, policies
and procedures governing responsibilities of the Board of Directors that will serve as a
reference document for the Board of Directors; and
WHEREAS, the Handbook will serve as an introduction for future Board
Members unfamiliar with Board of Directors meeting procedures and guide the Board of
Directors in the preparation and conduct of public meetings.
NOW, THEREFORE, the Board of Directors does hereby RESOLVE as follows:
1. The Board of Directors Procedures Handbook is hereby approved as set forth
in Exhibit A, attached hereto and incorporated herein by this reference.
2. The Board of Directors Procedures Handbook may be amended
administratively by the District Clerk and/or the General Manager in order to remain
current with Federal, State, and local law.
3. The General Manager is hereby directed to upload an electronic copy of the
Board of Directors Procedures Handbook on the District's website.
