FIRST AMENDMENT TO AGREEMENT
BETWEEN COSTA MESA SANITARY DISTRICT AND ORANGE COUNTY SUPERINTENDENT OF SCHOOLS
FIRST AMENDMENT to Agreement between the Costa Mesa Sanitary District and Orange County
Superintendent of Schools for educational outreach ("AGREEMENT") is made and entered into this 1sc
day of July, 2019, by and between the Costa Mesa Sanitary District, hereinafter referred to as DISTRICT,
and Orange County Superintendent of Schools, hereinafter referred to as CONSULTANT.
WITNESSETH:
WHEREAS, on July 1, 2018, the DISTRICT and CONSULTANT entered into AGREEMENT for the
Project Zero Waste lunch education programs for Costa Mesa K-6th grade students and teachers; and
WHEREAS, the Agreement expired on June 30, 2019; and
WHEREAS, the DISTRICT and CONSULTANT desire to extend the AGREEMENT another year from
July 1, 2019 to June 30, 2020 as provided hereinafter.
WHEREAS, the parties do further desire to reflect that due to increasing costs of the program
that a reduced number of students will be served by the program as reflected in a new Exhibit "A."
NOW, THEREFORE, the Agreement is amended as of the date hereof as follows:
1. The term in this Agreement is extended to, and shall remain and continue in
effect until the tasks described herein are completed and shall terminate on
June 30, 2020, unless sooner terminated pursuant to the provisions of the
AGREEMENT.
a. The other provisions of the AGREEMENT are reaffirmed as originally stated except
that a new Exhibit A will describe the students served.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the parties hereto have caused this Second Amendment to be executed
this day and year first above written.
