A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE COSTA
MESA SANITARY DISTRICT, CALIFORNIA, DEMANDING THAT
THE ORANGE COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS, ET AL,
PROVIDE FULL AND OPEN DISCLOSURE OF ALL FACTS
REGARDING THE ORANGE COUNTY BANKRUPTCY PROCEEDINGS.
THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE COSTA MESA SANITARY DISTRICT DOES HEREBY
RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS, the present Orange County bankruptcy proceedings impact
all Harbor Area citizens in Costa Mesa and Newport Beach; and
WHEREAS, these proceedings greatly impact Harbor Area public
agencies' capacity to serve these citizens; and
WHEREAS, the mission of these public agencies is to provide
the highest level of service to their communities; and
WHEREAS, the many agencies and publicly elected officials from the
Harbor Area jointly need and deserve all information relative to the
County's bankruptcy, Investment Pool management, and related actions;
and
WHEREAS, the failure to provide this information hampers the
ability of the Harbor Area agencies and officials to serve the
community;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Directors of the
Costa Mesa Sanitary District demands that the Orange County Board of
Supervisors, their officers, agents, and the Bankruptcy Creditors
Committee (1) provide a full and open disclosure of all facts,
negotiations and /or rulings relative to this bankruptcy and use of
assets; and (2) conduct all future Board meetings on these matters,
except those expressly limited to litigation, in open public session.
