RESOLUTION No.
A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE COSTA MESA SANI-
TARY DISTRICT ESTABLISHING GUIDELINES FOR SCHEDULING, CONTINU-
ING OR RESETTING REGULAR MEETINGS OF THE BOARD OF THE DISTRICT
AND STATING REASONS THEREFOR.
THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE COSTA MESA SANITARY DISTRICT DOES HEREBY
RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
THAT, WHEREAS, the Board by Ordinances 13 and 23 has established the date,
time and place of its regular monthly meetings; and
WHEREAS, it becomes necessary from time to time to change the date, time and
place of the regular monthly meetings to best accomplish the necessary business of
the District; and
WHEREAS, the public served by the District has a right to a reasonable
expectation that the monthly meetings of the Board will be held at the stated date,
time and place established by District ordinances; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to establish guidelines for the rescheduling or
resetting of regular meetings of the Board;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
THAT changes in the date, time and place of any regular meetings of the
Board may be set forward in time but shall not be set back in time;
THAT any regular meeting set forward in date and time or providing a dif-
ferent place shall be duly noticed and posted as required by the Ralph M. Brown Act
(Sections 54950 - 54962, Government Code) and such other federal state and local
laws, rules and regulations as shall be applicable; and
THAT any party having business before the District showing an acceptable
excuse for not being present due to changed date, time or place of any regular
meeting of the Board may request the Board to reschedule the item of interest on
which that party wishes to be heard at a subsequent regular meeting.
