A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE COSTA MESA SANI-
TARY DISTRICT RELATING TO CONTRACT CHANGE ORDERS AND ESTABLISH-
ING LIMITS ON AUTHORITY FOR EXPENDITURES.
THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF, THE COSTA MESA SANITARY DISTRICT DOES HEREBY
RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS, unforeseen circumstances may occur on capital improvement projects
requiring change order, adding extra costs to the contract; and
WHEREAS, it is impractical to convene a special Board meeting for the ap-
proval of each change order irrespective of cost; and
WHEREAS, the Board desires to establish Staff limits for expenditures .for
change orders;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that no change order can be approved without
written approval of District Manager /Engineer and District Manager /Engineer shall
have authority to approve change order expenditures not to exceed two (20) percent
of contract or One Thousand ($1,000.00) Dollars, whichever is greater, per occur-
rence.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that Board approval of change order will also be
required when the scope of the project has been materially changed and the amount of
the project change order exceeds two (20) percent of the contract amount, or One
Thousand ($1,000.00) Dollars, whichever is greater, per occurrence.
