have'served.fo`produce altqurd waste treatment.and,disposal system; that has not'only kept pace with but �- ;

WHEREAS, through his'efforis Orange; County Sanrtation:nDrstricts to ,1993 was named
Nurriber °One waste water tredtitient -agency in the 'United ,States; and
WHEREAS, his responsible planning and engineering have resulted 'n the best system for the
least expenditure in the Orange'`Coun'ty Sartiitatton;,Drstricts' expenditure of three quarters;of a billion
dollars during his "engineering tenure; and
:_WHEREAS,,nzs advice, interest and concern,'for the operation of,ahe Costa Mesa Sanitary
District has; resulted in an extraordinarlysmooth operation between:these two governmental'agencies in
related endeavors;;
NOW,THEREFORE, BE'IT RESOLVED
That` the Board of Drrecto' "rs of the Costa'Mesa Sanitary Distrret, for itself and for its `staf f,
commends,TOM DAWES for. TTis public dedication`to the professional ;treatment of liquid waste�through `
the :ltreat`ment facilitiesjof the Orange_"County Sanitation "Drstrtcts.

dedication to the�proteetion of the,health of the conimunity.and the env "ironment "through his expertise.m
