Contract - CR&R - 2018-07-01 (2) FIRST AMENDMENT TO AGREEMENT
BETWEEN COSTA MESA SANITARY DISTRICT AND CR&R INCORPORATED FOR PICKUP OF FLUORESCENT
TUBES AND HOUSEHOLD BATTERIES FROM OCC
This FIRST AMENDMENT to Agreement between the Costa Mesa Sanitary District and CR&R
Incorporated("FIRST AMENDMENT")is made and entered into this 1st day of July,2018, by and between
the Costa Mesa Sanitary District, hereinafter referred to as DISTRICT, and CR&R Incorporated,
hereinafter referred to as CONTRACTOR. •
WITNESSETH:
WHEREAS, on March 2, 2018, the DISTRICT and CONSULTANT entered into an AGREEMENT to
provide a Door-to-Door Household Hazardous Waste service as well as pickup fluorescent light tubes
and household batteries from the Orange Coast College(OCC)facility on an on-call basis;and
WHEREAS,the Agreement expired on June 30,2018;and
WHEREAS, the parties have provided for door to door household hazardous waste pick up
services as part of their master agreement for solid waste collection services but desire to continue with
the pickup services for fluorescent light tubes and household batteries from OCC;and
WHEREAS, the DISTRICT and CONSULTANT desire to extend the Agreement another year from
July 1,2018 to June 30,2019,to cover those services as provided for hereinafter.
NOW,THEREFORE,the Agreement is amended as of the date hereof as follows:
1. CR&R agrees to continue to provide pick up of fluorescent light tubes and
household batteries from the OCC facility on an on-call basis as described in the
Agreement and bill the District for disposal costs. Said amount shall not exceed
$20,000 for the term of the contract,asrovided in the Agreement.

2. The term of this FIRST AMENDMENT is extended to, and shall remain and
continue in effect until the tasks described herein are completed and shall
terminate on June 30, 2019, unless sooner terminated pursuant to the
provisions of the AGREEMENT.
3. The other provisions of the AGREEMENT are reaffirmed as originally stated as
applied to the services that are to be performed pursuant to this FIRST
AMENDMENT.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF,the parties hereto have caused this First Amendment to be effective the
day and year first above written.
