-A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE COSTA MESA SANI-
TARY DISTRICT TO ENDORSE THE FORMATION OF A SELECTION COMMITTEE
OF THE INDEPENDENT SPECIAL DISTRICTS OF ORANGE COUNTY TO ADVISE
THE ORANGE COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS ON THE DISTRIBUTION OF
THE SPECIAL DISTRICT AUGMENTATION FUND AND TO DIRECT THE BOARD
OF SUPERVISORS ON SPECIFIC ALLOCATION.
THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE COSTA MESA SANITARY DISTRICT DOES HEREBY
RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
THAT, WHEREAS, Section 98.6(2)(A) of the Revenue and Taxation Code of the
State of California provides for the establishment of an independent special dis-
trict selection committee to adopt a resolution recommending a particular distribu-
tion of the Special District Augmentation Fund for that fiscal year; and
WHEREAS, the independent special districts of Orange County have indicated a
desire to form an independent special district selection committee;
NOW, ARE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Costa Mesa Sanitary District hereby
endorses the formation of the Independent Special Districts of Orange County Selec-
tion Committee; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Costa Mesa Sanitary District hereby author-
izes the Independent Special Districts of Orange County Selection Committee to
speak on its behalf to the Orange County Board of Supervisors regarding the distri-
bution of the Special District Augmentation Fund to the Independent Special Dis-
tricts of Orange County; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Costa Mesa Sanitary District hereby in-
structs the Independent Special Districts of Orange County Selection Committee to
advise the Orange County Board of Supervisors to distribute the Special District
Augmentation Funds to each requesting Independent Special District in an amount up
to the amount of that District's contribution to the Special District Augmentation
Fund.
