Globe-Herald Ob. 42.86 Mr. Browning, 1762 Anaheim requested variance to allow "Saddle" connection_ under Permit 2023. Granted. Inspector Carver instructed to exercise his judgment in such cases and given authority to allow use of "Saddle" if in his opinion warranted. Messrs. Fred Allen and Carlton Smith presented problem of financing construction of sewer mains in Annexation No.13 (ODth St.) and stated they could and would "Self" finance necessary maim if District would complete main on Irvine northward 503.90,feet. Moved by Lord seconded by Meyers, that District bear the cost of such extension. harried. Moved by Director Nelson, seconded by Director Lord that "Secretary write a letter to each Contractor doing work in the Sanitary District Registered Mail, Receipt Requested- notifying.` :said - .Contractor that he is to obtain permission from District inspector before any "Saddle" is installed in a sewer main and any contractor guilty of failure to obtain such permission will be refused permission to make further connection to a sewer main within the District. Motion carried. Note: Inspector is required to'make notation of any such permission granted on Inspection Card of the-job. 48 Messrs. Forsythe, Davisson, Robinson et al. asked as to status of Bond Proposal for Annexation #12 and 16. Attorney Anderson stated matter in hands of Bond Attorneys and oploton promised by September 16th. Mr.Hagen of Superior Trailer Park, 21st and Tustin, asked as to possibility of acquiring use rights in 21st Street main. Matter deferred for future investigation and. consideration. Mr.Camp requested permission to install manhole in main on Victoria. Referred to Engineers' for plans and approval. Moved by Director Nelson, seconded by Director Lord, that Attorney f Anderson be instructed to "get together" with the City Attorney on the matter of Contract between the City and Sanitary District and report back two weeks from this date. Motion carried. Note3 The above action taken subsequent toT "conclusion of joint conference between City and District governing bodies on the subject of such contract. It is understood that a Special Meeting will be held September 16th at usual time to consider Bond Proposal and such other matters as may be presented, including proposed Contract with Francis H.. Bulot,Inc. covering Engineering work, design and construction Annexa- tion No.12 and 16. • Early in this meeting the Secretary distributed to each Director and the Attorney copies of a Financial Exhibit covering distribution of Receipts and Expenditures of Running Expense Fund over the period from date of organization of the District,February 18th219442 to close of fiscal year June 30th, 1954.
