President announced consideration and Hearing on Petition for
Annexation No 20, official Hearing set by publication for 7:30
P M this date.
It was moved by Director Meyers seconded by Director Lord that
Order of Acceptance of Annexation No 20 be entered,, contingent
upon absence of protests by and at 7:30 P M August 26th. Motion
carried and so ordered.
Note: At the hour and date above fixed, the Secretary appeared
at designated meeting place, and there being no Directors pre-
sent and no protests filed or appearing, he adjourned the Hearing
to regular meeting of the Board September 2nd 1954.
Moved by Director Meyers seconded by Director Lord that the sewer
main constructed on 19th street between Placentia and Pomona through
the efforts of,Robt Mottet and Harvey Somers, construction having
been approved by Engineers for the District, be accepted, con-
tingent upon receipt by the District of sufficient funds in escrow
to pay for such construction. Motion carried.
Attorney Anderson reported progress on preparation of Bond Pro-
posal for Annexations 12 and 16, completion of such proceedings
dependent upon Bond Attorneys O'Melveny & Meyers.
At this point Mr Bryanj, L Berkley presented the question of Annexa-
tion of a portion of Lot 607 Newport Mesa Tract, and upon discus-
sion it was determined to prepare a Petition for Annexation of the
block between 17th and 18th'streets and Pomona and Placantia, being,
Lots605 -6 -7 -8 and 705- 6- 7- 8'Newport Mesa Tract, designated as
Ann_ eexation No 25.
