Minutes - Board - 1954-08-10F_ -1 Minutes of adjourned meeting of August 5th, 1054, held at 2051 (rear ) 9 Newport Avenue, Costa Mesa, California, August 10th,1954. Present: Directors TeWinkle, Nelson, Lord, Norman,, Meyers. Attorney Anderson Engineers, Bulot, Robt and Robinson Secretary Owen Inspector Carver Others: Mr. T. J.Connor for Gilman Plumbing Co. Mr. Connor presented question of type of connections to sewer main on Costa Mesa Street from property described as Donald Butts property. Agreed and arranged that Engineer Bob.Bulot would meet with City Inspector next day, the 11th, and arrive at con- clusion, all concurAed to be governed thereby. Discussion of Bond Proposal and Proceedings for Annexation Hos.12 and 16 resulted in understanding that Attorney Anderson would proceed with negotiations for arrangements with O'Melveny & Lyers to expedite prepara- tion of such Bond Proposal all possible. I After submission by President of question of Engineering services on this Project and full discussion of question of retention of the firm of Francis H.Bulot,Ine.Consulting Engineers and upon assurance voiced by Mr.Robert Bulot for such firm to the effect that he.would personally be avail- able and would personally supervise and be responsible for proper and satisfactory handling of the engineering work incident to such project and upon expressions of understand- ing and agreement by members of the Board, and Mr. Bulot as to Boards requirements it was Moved by Director Lord, seconded by Director Norman, that Francis H. Bulot.Inc.Consulting Engineers be employed to perform the engineering services, including design and supervision of construction of sanitary sewer system within Annexed areas Nos.12 and 16 under the terms of a contract to be entered into covering such employment. Motion carried and so ordered. At this point-terms and conditions of such contract as above were discussed and Mr. Bob Bulot agreed to sub- mit revised terms and conditions for use of attorney Anderson in preparing such contract. • Following some discussion of various proposed annexa- tion problems in status of petitions in No.17 and No.19 the latter Mesa Drive to Palisades Road territory, this meeting adjourned.
