A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE
COSTA MESA SANITARY DISTRICT, ORANGE COUNTY,
CALIFORNIA, MAKING APPLICATION TO THE LOCAL
AGENCY FORMATION COMMISSION OF ORANGE COUNTY,
CALIFORNIA, FOR DETACHMENT OF TERRITORY TO THE
DISTRICT, BEING DETACHMENT NO. Y3-0 /.
THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE COSTA MESA SANITARY DISTRICT,
ORANGE COUNTY, CALIFORNIA, DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS, the Board of Directors of the Costa Mesa Sanitary
District, Orange County, California, desires to initiate pro-
ceedings for the detachment of the hereinafter - described terri-
tory to said District;
NOW, THEREFORE, the Board of Directors of the Costa Mesa
Sanitary District of Orange County, California does hereby resolve,
determine and order as follows:
1. That this application is being filed pursuant to the
applicable provisions of the District Reorganization Act of 1965
(Section 56000 et seq., Government Code) for the purpose of pro-
posing the detachment of the below - described property from the
Costa Mesa Sanitary District
2. That the territory proposed to be detached contains
/ V4 acres and is contiguous to and a part of the Costa Mesa
Sanitary District and the territory to be detached is specifically
described in Exhibit "A" which is attached hereto and made a part
hereof, consisting of _2 typewritten sheets containing a legal
description and a map of the territory proposed to be detached.
3. That a map showing the boundaries together with a copy
of the above legal description has heretofore been filed with the
Orange County Surveyor and with the Commission and has been found
to be definite and certain by the Orange County Surveyor. Said
map is hereby referred to and by reference made a part hereof.
4. That the territory proposed to be detached is inhabited
as defined in Section 56045, Government Code.
5. That the reason for the proposed detachment is that said
territory has been within the sphere of influence of the City of
Newport Beach and is now annexed to the City of Newport Beach and
will eventually have sewer services provided by the City of Newport
Beach.
6. That the territory to be detached is entirely located
within Orange County, California.
7. That the names of all of the affected districts are as
follows:
Orange County Sanitation District No. 6
Orange County Flood Control District
Harbor District
Mosquito Abatement District
County Library District
Metropolitan Water District
Newport -Mesa Unified School District.
8. The Board of Directors of.the Costa Mesa Sanitary Dis-
trict respectfully requests the Local Agency Formation Commission
of Orange County, California, to institute proceedings for the
detachment of the above- described territory.
9. That it is further requested that the said Local Agency
Formation Commission order pursuant to the provisions of Section
56113, Government Code of California, that this detachment be
approved by the electorate and that said election be set for the
next general election in Orange County.
10. That the proposed terms and conditions to which the
proposed detachment is desired to be subject are described as
follows:
That all fees be paid to the District prior to this
detachment's becoming effective.

Engineer's No. 33 Annexation to the Costa Mesa Sanitary District.
Parcel 2
Engineer's No. 46 Annexation to the Costa Mesa Sanitary District.
Parcel 3
That portion of Engineer's No. 27 Annexation to the Costa Mesa
Sanitary District southerly of the northerly boundary of the
City of Newport Beach as described in Annexation No. 36 to the
City of Newport Beach,adopted by Ordinance No. 780,on May,28,
1956, by the City of Newport Beach, and that portion of said
Engineer's No. 27 Annexation southerly of the portion of the
northerly boundary of the City of Newport Beach easterly of said
Annexation No. 36 as described in Annexation No. 21 to the City
of Newport Beach, adopted by Ordinance No. 630, on September 25,
1950, by the City of Newport Beach, said boundary lines being more
particularly described as follows:
Beginning at a point on the westerly line of the First Addition
to Newport Mesa Tract, as shown on a map thereof, recorded in
Book 8, page 61, of Miscellaneous Maps, records of Orange County,
California, said point being at the intersection with the north
line of 16th Street as shown on said tract; thence easterly.along
the north line of said 16th,Street and the southerly lines of Lots
1112 and 1012 of Newport Mesa Tract, as shown on a map thereof,
