AGREEMENT FOR ARCHITECT DESIGN AND ENGINEERING SERVICES
290 Paularino Avenue, Costa Mesa
This SECOND AMENDMENT to Agreement architect design and engineering
services is made into this _8 day of June, 2016, by and between the Costa Mesa
Sanitary District, a sanitary district ("DISTRICT'), and Rengel & Co Architects, Inc., a
Corporation ("CONSULTANT").
Recitals
WHEREAS, on May 2, 2016 the DISTRICT and CONSULTANT entered into an
agreement for architect design and engineering services for the recently acquired
11,000 square foot building at 290 Paularino that will serve as DISTRICT headquarters;
and
WHEREAS, the terms of the Agreement provided that it was not to exceed
$54,680 for services rendered by CONSULTANT unless by amendment to this contract
or change order, and
WHEREAS, on May t9 , 2016, both parties agreed to amend the agreement
for$4,800 for additional architect and engineering services to the permits office; and
WHEREAS, additional structural engineering is required for a central air
conditioning and heating unit above the Community/Board room; and
WHEREAS, the DISTRICT and CONSULTANT now desire to amend the
Agreement for a second time to increase CONSULTANT'S compensation for said
services.
NOW, THEREFORE the parties hereto agree as follows:
1. Pursuant to Section 5 of the Agreement the General Manager has
approved a change order covering structural engineering to memorialize that the
compensation provided for in the Agreement has been increased by the sum of $1,450
to cover that work.
2. The term of this Second Amendment shall become effective upon its
adoption.

3. Except as specifically amended by the terms of this Second Amendment,
all provisions of First Amendment and the original Agreement shall remain in full force
and effect.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the parties hereto have caused this First Amendment
to be executed this day and year first above written.
