RESOLUTION
RESOLUTION NO. 90-494
A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE
COSTA MESA SANITARY DISTRICT COMMENDING ORMA O.
CRANK FOR HIS LONG AND DEDICATED SERVICE AS A
MEMBER OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE COSTA
MESA SANITARY DISTRICT AND STATING REASONS
THEREFOR.
THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE COSTA MESA SANITARY DISTRICT DOES
HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: That
WHEREAS, ORMA O. CRANK was appointed to the Board on February 1978 and served
through 1981; that he was elected on November of 1981 and served until 1985; that he was appointed in
lieu of election in 1985 and served until 1989, his term having been extended to 1990; and
WHEREAS, he served as Vice President of the Board from 1979 through 1990 and as an
alternate to the Orange County Sanitation District Boards #1 and #6; and
WHEREAS, his business and construction experience as well as his wide community
recognition served greatly in developing the policies and practices of the Board and in its public
acceptance; and
WHEREAS, he was a leader in developing Board policies and procedures and contributed
thoughtfully to meeting discussions and decisions; and
WHEREAS, he proved to be an invaluable asset as a director in all aspects of the conduct of
the Board's business and its service to the public;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that ORMA O. CRANK be heartily commended
for his 12 years of service as a director of the Costa Mesa Sanitary District and for an invaluable
contribution to the development of the policies, procedures and philosophies of the District;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Board extend its most heartfelt thanks and
appreciation to him for the time and effort given of himself on behalf of the District;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of THIS RESOLUTION duly embossed be
presented to ORMA O. CRANK; and
BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that a copy of THIS RESOLUTION be made a part of the
permanent records and be placed on file in the archives of the District.
