RESOLUTION NO. 90 -488
A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE
COSTA MESA SANITARY DISTRICT OF ORANGE COUNTY,
CALIFORNIA, COPMIENDING ROBERT OMAN, RETIRING
DIRECTOR OF FINANCE AND TREASURER OF THE
DISTRICT, FOR SERVICES WELL PERFORMED AND
STATING REASONS THEREFOR.
THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE COSTA MESA SANITARY DISTRICT,
ORANGE COUNTY, CALIFORNIA, DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS, Robert Oman has been District Director of Finance
for over two decades and District Treasurer since 1986; and
WHEREAS, he has successfully worn "two hats ", managing the
finances of both the City of Costa Mesa and the Costa Mesa Sanitary
District, balancing between the two agencies making certain that both
received and paid their fair share; and
WHEREAS, he has faithfully paid the bills of the District and
invested its reserves, guaranteeing its continued solvency without resort
to bail -out funds; and
WHEREAS, he created and successfully established the Trash
Assessment District in 1968 and through his diligent pursual, transferred
the cost of liquid waste disposal to a Sewer User Fee in 1983; and
WHEREAS, he has fought valiantly and unrelentlessly with the
County Assessor and Tresurer on behalf of the District over the disposi-
tion of District funds, payment of District bills and the accurracy and
timeliness of the computer printouts of their tax rolls;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that ROBERT OMAN be wholeheartedly
and enthusiastically commended for his service to the District;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that he be wished well on his retirement
and future leisure and professional endeavors;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution be pre-
sented to ROBERT OMAN with suitable ceremony and suitably framed;
BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that an copy of this Resolution be made
a part of the perpetual records of the Costa Mesa Sanitary District.
