A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS FOR THE COSTA
MESA SANITARY DISTRICT COMMENDING ERIC C. JOHNSON ON
HIS SERVICES AS A BOARD MEMBER OF THE DISTRICT AND
WISHING HIM WELL IN FUTURE ENDEAVORS.
THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE COSTA MESA SANITARY DISTRICT DOES
HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
THAT, WHEREAS, Eric C. Johnson has served as a Board member of the
Costa Mesa Sanitary District since July of 1986; and
WHEREAS, Eric C. Johnson has removed his residence from the Dis-
trict and has resigned his position as a Board member; and
WHEREAS, Eric C. Johnson has a long record of service to the
community, having served as a City councilman, as an alternate on Orange
County Sanitation District No. 6, currently as a director of the Costa
Mesa Chamber of Commerce, and most recently on the Board of the Costa
Mesa Sanitary District; and
WHEREAS, Eric C. Johnson has served with distinction above and
beyond the call of duty and far in excess of the expectations of man in
keeping the claimed golf scores of Directors Crank, Green and Wahner
within almost believable bounds; and
wmII2 S, Eric C. Johnson has shown keen insight, nimble wit and
sure - footed moves in countering the questionable public claims of Direc-
tors Crank, Green and Wahner regarding their magnificent skills and feats
in golf ; and
WHEREAS, Eric C. Johnson and Director Hanson each served his
country in different branches of the military service in World War II;
and
WHEREAS, Eric C. Johnson's branch, according to him, won the war
single- handedly without the help of Hanson's branch;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Directors of the
Costa Mesa Sanitary District conanends Eric C. Johnson for his past loyal,
dedicated and valued service to the Costa Mesa Sanitary District during
his tenure as a Board member;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Board wishes Eric C. Johnson well
in his future endeavors and in any other public service endeavor that he
should undertake; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that Eric C. Johnson be granted unlimited
opportunity to golf with Directors Crank, Green or Wahner and to recoup
his past losses to them, if any, as the conscience of each will surely
allow, getting strokes where needed to ensure recoupment in full of all
past losses, if any, and to be forgiven any future losses, should they
occur.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that Eric C. Johnson be granted exclusive
future bragging rights on any golf match played with Directors Crank,
Green and Wahner free of contradiction from any of these opponents re-
gardless of the truth, near truth or reasonable exaggeration of what Eric
C. Johnson wishes to say concerning the game of golf.
BE IT' FURTHER RESOLVED that Eric C. Johnson be granted all future
bragging rights on all military exploits free of any contradictions from
Hanson regardless of the truth, near truth, exaggerations, proof or
display of medals or ccnrendations.
BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution suitably
mounted be presented to Eric C. Johnson at a suitable ceremony organized
for that purpose.
